Pastor Mark Davis is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and a graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He also has a Master of Ministry degree and a Master's degree in Christian Education, both from Temple Baptist Ministry. Additionally, Pastor Davis also received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Fundamental Baptist College for Asians in 1998. In 2018, he earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree with a specialty in Leadership from Piedmont International University.
He faithfully preaches every Sunday evening, in addition to leading our Wednesday evening Bible study. He also works with our Senior Adult Prime Timers Ministry.
Pastor Davis has served at Yellow River Baptist Church for 30 years. He served 16 years in leadership at Loganville Christian Academy where there was an enrollment of approximately 600 students. As their varsity basketball coach, his teams won 5 state championships and appeared in 11 Final Fours.

He and his wife, Cathy, have two sons, Christopher and Austin, and have five grandchildren, Lacey, Colton, Karlyn, Noah and Grayson.
